The War Of The Rings Book Two: The Two Trees
The War of the Rings To End All Wars of the Rings has begun!
In the last War of the Ring, the battles were confined to Helm’s Deep in Rohan, the Pelennor Fields around Minas Tirith and the passage of Cirith Gorgor before the Morannon: the Black Gates of Mordor.
Now from the icy plains of Forodwaith in the north, down through all Four Farthings of the Shire, across the Troll Shaws, past Dol Amroth to Harad in the south and Dor Daedeloth to Hildória in the east, enemy armies are marching across all of Middle-earth.
The forces of the High King Elessar and the High Queen Arwen converge on Khazad-dûm led by their son, the Crown Prince Eldarion in co-captaincy with the Crown Prince Legolas of Mirkwood and the Crown Prince Durin VII of Erebor, aided by the wizard Alatar the Blue of Rhûn.
There the united armies of Elves, Dwarves and Men known as ‘The Alliance Of The Rings’ prepares to invade the ancient halls below the Misty Mountains, held by the monstrous Lord of Fire and Shadow, the Balrog King Lungorthin. In addition to Lungorthin’s armies of Goblins and Trolls, in Khazad-dûm are hidden evils and ancient Rings of Power.
Just as in the last War, to counter these perils, the Armies of the West begin a desperate Quest. The Sons of Elrond, the Elvish twins Elladan and Elrohir of Rivendell are joined by Elboron, son of Faramir and Éowyn, the Crown Prince of Ithilien, as well as the Crown Prince Xiang, son of the Emperor Guan Qubing The Great of Hildória, and the princesses of Rohan and Gondor, aided by the wizard Pallando the Blue of Hildória, to find the three missing Palantíri, Seeing Stones of Númenor.
Unlike the last War, there is not a single Quest, but two: Hobbits of the Shire, including Elanor Gamgee Gardner, daughter of Samwise, and Fastred Greenholm, son of Folcred, join the Princess Celendrian, daughter of Elessar and Arwen, on the Quest to find the long-lost Silmarilli, the only things in Middle-earth that still contain the unmatchable might of the Lamps of Valinor and the Two Trees!
