Born and raised in Florida, Kurt Gonzales comes from a modern family. In High School and college he wrestled and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Philosophy. He runs a website mymetaculture.com. It focuses on the more self-aware and self-referential aspects of both internet culture and our larger cultural influences.
He first began writing in elementary school and he has written numerous short stories, including “The Color Orange” set in an imaginative future-verse where a lone and intrepid historian is on the trail of discovering a spectrum of lost beauty and understanding. His first screenplay “Tell Her About It” is a boy-meets-app-meets-girl story with several modern twists.
Kurt’s first novel, “The Island” is a science-fiction thriller where a seemingly Utopian society is in reality a front for something far more sinister. His second novel from Fractal Books is “Wrath & Rapture.”
